Softening and filtration in one system at the point of entry, sized from your water test and installed by a licensed Wisconsin plumber. Add reverse osmosis at the kitchen sink and the house is covered, from the water heater to the glass you drink from.
What the complete system does
Water enters your house once. The complete home system treats it right there, before it reaches a single fixture.
- Softening resin pulls out calcium and magnesium, taking hardness from whatever your test reads to zero. Scale stops building in the water heater, the dishwasher, and every pipe downstream.
- Activated carbon polishes chlorine taste and odor out of city water. On a well, iron treatment takes its place, and carbon is added only if your test says so.
- Reverse osmosis, optional, added at the kitchen sink, puts a dedicated drinking-water tap right where you fill glasses.
One quote covers the equipment and the installation. The number on the quote is the number you pay.
Sized from your test, not from a catalogue
A softener sized wrong wastes salt every week forever, or runs out of capacity on a Saturday with a full house. We size from four things: your measured hardness, whether iron is along for the ride, your household size, and your peak flow. That is why the quote visit starts with the test and ends with the number, never the other way around.
Every system we install is certified to the NSF/ANSI standard for its job: 44 for softeners, 42 for carbon, 58 for reverse osmosis. The quote names the exact models so you can look the listings up yourself.
What installation involves
Installation is a scheduled visit by Wisconsin-licensed plumbing contractors working under a responsible master plumber, with permits pulled. Softener drain lines and RO connections are real plumbing, and Wisconsin law treats them that way. A typical single-family install is a morning’s work, not a remodel.
Before the crew leaves, we run the same hardness test we ran at your kitchen table on day one, and you watch the number hit zero.
What it costs
Four things drive the price: your measured hardness, whether iron is along for the ride, your household size, and whether you add the RO stage. The quote itemizes each on one page and holds for 30 days, so you can compare it against anyone. We do not publish a headline price, because a headline price that ignores all four is a number designed to be changed at the table.
